I just went to the airforce base this past weekend. It is the only day of the year that normal people can get on the base without a passport and someone to sponsor them. It is like going into America without a passport, after all.

Not sure if ANYONE still reads their LJs but I really miss writing in mine. 
I will catch whoever might still check, up on a few things. This past year, I moved to Japan, got married, went to a Japanese language school, finished that, and got my license...started learning a little bit of Thai. :D Long story short. 

Lately, I have gone through some weird phases. 
I moved initially to a place I love, but after the best-school-ever ended, I found myself looking for ways to stay busy. 
I need a job. Looking for a job in a country where it is only acceptable to speak the foreign language sucks. Now I can understand how people crossing the border from Mexico must feel, if they are discriminated against. But, I am by no means comparing my situation to theirs. I  just cannot imagine how much harder it is for them. People are generally very accepting of me. Perhaps, because I am blonde and have a tall nose. Whatever the reason, I am glad I have not met many nasty people so far. It is very difficult for me to get a job here because I never finished my 4-year college degree. I made it to my 3rd year, but gave up. Pretty pathetic, now that I have a better view of the consequences.  But, that was my choice and I have come to accept that, until my Japanese becomes a lot better, I will have only one choice...English teacher. The problem is, most of them require that 4-year degree. I will figure it out, my luck tends to run high. 

On a lighter note, I will see Hancock (the Will Smith movie tonight)...loves it!
